With the recent launch of Figma Slides, many fans are thrilled that they can now create presentations in Figma, too! But what about all the slide decks already created in other tools like Apple Keynote? If you’re picturing a lot of copying-and-pasting, or manually recreating your beautiful slides from scratch in Figma, think again.

This guide will take you through how easy it is to go from Keynote to Figma:

  1. Launch office.to.design
  2. Drag and drop your Keynote file in the plugin
  3. Your Keynote is converted into editable Figma designs!

How to go from Keynote to Figma Slides

Converting your Keynote presentations to Figma Slides is a quick and easy process with the office.to.design plugin. Here's how to do it:

1) Launch the plugin office.to.desgin

Run office.to.design in the Figma file where you want to import your Keynote slide deck.

2) Upload your Keynote presentation

Upload or drag and drop your Keynote file into the plugin (it also works for Microsoft PowerPoint presentations). Edit the settings such as range of pages (PRO feature), font mappings and frame stacking to configure your ideal import.

3) Convert Keynote to Figma designs

office.to.design automatically converts the presentation into fully editable Figma layers.

4) Copy to Figma Slides

Next, select the frames you want to use in your Figma slide deck and click "Copy to Figma Slides" in the right toolbar.

ℹ️ Make sure the dimensions of the slide deck’s top-level frames use an aspect ratio between 4:3 and 16:9, otherwise the “Copy to Figma Slides” option won’t appear. You can read more about this feature here.

5) Your Keynote is now a Figma Slide deck

All done! Your Keynote presentation has now been converted to Figma Slides so you can start collaborating with your team directly in Figma.
